Cancellations/ Returns and Refund :
The company has a no return, no refund policy on non-faulty goods. Since most of the products are high value and well thought after rather than impulsive purchases, we do not encourage returns.
Own Interiors Private Limited will not under any circumstances accept returns on any special order, custom size, made to measure or any standard product that has been adjusted at your request. As all our kitchens and wardrobes and other modular furniture are specifically made to order in accordance with your desired requirements these items shall not be cancelled or returned. Therefore, upon initiation of the sale there can be no cancellations beyond the first 24 hrs. There is a possibility that amendments can be made to your order within the first 24 hrs after ordering, prior to the commencement of production. Cancellations for all made to order can be made within first 24 hours of placing an order, however, only a credit note and not refund shall be issued for the same, with a validity of 6 months. All requests for amendments must be made and accepted in writing and you, the consumer will be liable for costs incurred as a result of change in design or item change, if any. This does not affect your statutory rights related to faulty goods.
A retail consumer can cancel a contract of any purchased readymade item within 2 days, starting from the day of placing the order. In that case, you will receive a full refund of the price paid for the products. The mode of refund shall be the same as the mode of payment. Please give us 12-14 working days as refund processing time, once we have received your request for cancellation and a refund note is issued to you.We do not accept any cancellations and claims for refund beyong the 2 days of placing the order. We would therefore recommend you to research and take an informed decision before you buy.
We as the seller reserve the right to cancel the contract between us and you in the event of the following;
1)You have placed an order for the items that have been discontinued or are out of stock .
2) An error has occurred with the pricing of goods ordered on the website and you do not accept the updated price. If Own Interiors Private Limited makes the decision to cancel your order you will be notified at the first opportunity by email or telephone. A full refund will then be made to the credit card used at the time of purchase. Please give us normal banking card reversal processing time for the same. Own Interiors Private Limited will not be held liable to pay you any compensation for any reason.
For any refunds arising due to negligence on our part or faulty goods, the mode of return would be the same as the mode of payment from your end. Whether your claim for refund in case of faulty goods is valid, would be at the sole discretion of the management and would be final and binding.The decision for return or repair of faulty goods would depend on the product and nature of fault.
The delivery time frame for each item may differ, depending on the stock availability. A complete Kitchen or Wardrobe should ideally not take more than 4-6 weeks to be delivered and installed at your given address. However, the exact delivery time and schedule could be earlier or later too, and would be notified to you at the time of placing the order. In case of any specific queries regarding delivery, you could get in touch with us before finally placing the order.
The delivery may be made to the person named on the invoice or any other person residing at the address mentioned in the order form or any person appearing to have authority to accept the delivery on your behalf. In case of non availability of any authorised person to take delivery within the stipulated time window of 4 hours, the driver has the right to take the goods back to the place of loading, and you shall be liable to pay the delivery charges from there to your destination of delivery. These delivery charges shall be paid in advance when a new date and time of delivery is agreed upon.
You are responsible for providing adequate clearances within your area of residence regarding unloading of the goods at the delivery time agreed upon. Manual labour shall be arranged by the transporter, however extra charges if need be, may be required to be paid by you in case of unnecessary delays regarding clearances and unloading at your end.
Upon receiving of the goods a reasonable time will be given to you to inspect the goods. Please check all items carefully and note damages, if any. This is the only opportunity to report any damages. No claim regarding any damages caused in transit or otherwise shall be entertained beyond this. Once the goods are checked a signature would be required. Upon receipt of a signature, the responsibility of goods then lies with you, and from this time you will be responsible for any loss of or damage to the goods.
Whilst we will do our very best to ensure your delivery arrives within the specified time window, we cannot be accountable for delays due to but not limited to the following : incorrect address given at the time of purchase or at the time of delivery arrangement, incidents on the road including traffic delays, weather, natural disasters and acts of terrorism. If our delivery is affected in any way we would contact you by phone or email and inform you. We will not be held responsible for direct or indirect costs to you caused by late delivery. Late delivery will not be a valid reason to cancel the contract. In case the delivery time needs to be rescheduled due to the above stated reasons, we shall seek a new time slot and date acceptable to you.
We have a dedicated team of trained and experienced installers who would make the entire installation process hasstle-free for you. Once the products which need to be installed by our team, are delivered, our representative would schedule an installation appointment with you as per your convenience. Please ensure the site is ready for installation as per specifications mentioned by our representative. Please also ensure the products to be installed by us are kept intact and unopened at the site and there is power connection and adequate power supply at the place of installation to enable our team to use their electrical tools for installation.
Faulty goods and Warranties :
You the buyer have the right to free replacement/repair of any items that arrive damaged. Items must be inspected upon delivery and damages noted on receipt of delivery. This is your only opportunity to report damage. No claim for damage will be considered after this point. If damage has incurred and reported on delivery, a replacement will be delivered to you at the earliest opportunity. You must understand that our kitchens and wardrobes and other such cabinetries are made to order, hence average production and delivery time would be taken for replacement, however, the same would be taken on priority.
Own Interiors Private Limited is not responsible for any damages to the items caused by you or incidental work, including but not limited to the fitting of the items. However, if the damage is caused by the kitsforhomes.com installation team, then the responsibility to replace/repair the same lies with the company. Own Interiors Private Limited will repair or replace any product sold through Kitsforhomes.com which is defective in material and workmanship.
We give 5 years replacement/repair warranty on all our Kitchens, Wardrobes, TV units, Crockery Units, Bathroom vanities, and other similar modular furniture made in waterproof plywood and a 2 year replacement/repair warranty on other items in MDF material. The warranty is valid only if reasonable care is taken in usage of the said products and instructions of usage and care given, are followed.
It is the nature of various products to have variation in the grains pattern and color. Any surface finish may be affected by exposure to natural sunlight and other various elements as part of the ordinary ageing process. These material changes are not covered by this warranty. No responsibility will be accepted if it is found that the items were handled, installed or used incorrectly. The warranty does not cover damage to kitchens, wardrobes and other cabinetry , due to normal wear and tear, negligence, trauma, fire, accidents or water damage, termites etc (especially for cabinets and shutters which are not water proof and /or termite or borer proof). This warranty is only applicable upon proof of date of purchase and only covers faults as a result of factory workmanship or materials. For other goods and appliances purchased, the individual warranties offered by the specific brands in question would be applicable.
We warrant to you that the goods purchased through Own Interiors Private Limited are of excellent quality and are fit for the required use this type of product is expected to be put to. If an event arises that a claim is made we the sellers or our suppliers must be given the opportunity to access and inspect faulty goods, alternatively we may ask you to provide photographic evidence before an assessment can be made. If after we have deemed liable for the defect we shall either repair or replace the goods or refund you for the item. However, we shall not be liable for a breach of any of the warranties if the following but not limited to occurs :1) you continue to use the product and aggravate the damage further after giving notice of the fault 2) the defect has arisen because you failed to follow the manufacturers instructions as to the storage, installation , use or maintenance of the goods 3) In the absence of instructions you failed to pay attention to observed accepted practices in relation to the correct storage, installation and maintenance of the goods 4) In finding a fault or damage you attempt a repair in any way.
Price, Placing Your Order And Payment :
You must be 18 years or over to place an order with us and are legally capable of entering into a contract. You agree you have the authority to accept the terms and conditions stated herein. All prices charged by us are those in place at the date and time of order unless otherwise stated. While Own Interiors Private Limited, makes every possible effort to ensure the prices stated on the site kitsforhomes.com are accurate there are remote chances when errors may occur. If we discover an error in a price reflected in your order we will inform you and give you an option to proceed with the order or cancel it on account of price increase.
We reserve the right to adjust the prices and specifications of the goods offered on this website without prior notice. Unless otherwise stated, all prices are subject to VAT at the current rate applicable on different items and shall be notified to you while adding items to your cart. Delivery and installation charges are also extra (whereever applicable) and need to be borne by you. These will also be added further once you finalise the items in your shopping cart.
Except where otherwise stated in these terms of sale, the final price payable by you is the price mentioned in the final stage of you placing the order and getting ready to make the payment. Any discount offers are either subject to a minimum spend or are schemes running for a limited time period. These will be clearly mentioned on the site while adding items to the shopping cart or making final purchase.
All standard products must be paid for in full at time of purchase before your order can be confirmed. Payments can only be made through credit card, debit card, bank transfer, cheque or a demand draft, and are subject to realisation. In the event of an issue with taking payment from your card you will be contacted by our representative. No order will be confirmed unless full payment is received. By placing an order through Kitsforhomes.com you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
For made to order complete Kitchens and Wardrobes, you can book your order by paying 60% of the total amount due as advance and the balance 40% post manufacturing, but before the product is ready for despatch. The production process would begin only once the advance of 60% is received through any of the above mentioned mode of payment. The balance payment can be made through the same or another mode of payment. For all complete kits the installation is with our compliments. The delivery charges would be extra and would be notified to you at the time of placing the order.
